For our summer holiday, my husband, my mother-in-law, and myself went on a road trip around Brittany, Paris, Brussels, and Brugge. Armed with just a few maps, we tried taking a unique way back to our cottage each evening — a guarantee that we’d run into something different (even if it was just another local bakery).

One of the more exciting finds were the ruins of this amazing cathedral sitting so obtrusively amidst vast countryside.
